Paediatric Acupuncture in Brisbane
Many people think that Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is for adults only, but that is far from the truth. Tradition Chinese Medicine (TCM) can also be utilised to support babies, toddlers and older children and is often termed paediatric acupuncture.
What is involved in a Paediatric Acupuncture session?

Paediatric appointments are different to typical adult acupuncture appointments as the sessions are often gentler and the duration is shorter. Some children are naturally curious and eager to try acupuncture, while others feel more comfortable with acupressure or massage. When performing acupuncture on young children, we carefully select only a few points—sometimes using as few as two needles. In most cases, there is no need for needle retention, and the process is so gentle and swift that children hardly notice it. During massage sessions, we focus on acupressure points as well as specific areas of the body, including the hands and fingers, soles of the feet, tummy, back, and neck. Each session is tailored to each child to ensure that they feel comfortable.
